Riding A Bicycle

It’s been such a long, long time
Of doing nothing, and that’s a crime
You know these rusty parts
Are still given over to fits and starts
So hey, baby, let’s stop sitting on a fence
Let’s go one way or the other
And cut out the suspense
I know there’s some things we let fall by the wayside
But if you pump up my tires, we can go for a ride

And it’ll be Just like Riding a Bicycle
It ain't nothing complicated or philosophical
So take your walking papers and put them in your pocket
Let’s get on up and get on down the pike

Other birds come around my tree
Every one a calling card of charity
There’s a lion’s share to pick and choose
But there ain’t no paw gonna fill your shoes
So hey, baby, we don’t have to go far
You know my memory’s close
But it just ain’t no cigar
We can be polite and sit around batting the breeze
Or we could really strike a match and set some fire to this freeze

And it’ll be Just like Riding a Bicycle
It ain't nothing complicated or philosophical
So take your walking papers and put them in your pocket
Let’s get on up and get on down the pike

When we first met you used to wear me around the town like a wreath
Now I’m forgotten and I think it’s a sin
You know I’m barely hanging on by the skin of my teeth

It’s been such a long, long time
But you and I can still commit a perfect crime
So put on your Birthday Suit
Let’s go into town and get the loot
Hey, baby, we can give it a shot
Let’s get out the starch and strike while the iron is hot
So take your memories and take everything that matters
We can throw it on the sheets and tear a passion to tatters!

And it’ll be Just like Riding a Bicycle
It ain't nothing complicated or philosophical
So take your walking papers and put them in your pocket
Let’s get on up and get on down the pike
