Pale Blue Dot

I’m wandering somewhere
On this Pale Blue Dot
And I’m wondering where you are
And how to find my way there
I’m so lonely out here
Like an unwanted guest
I feel so dispossessed
When I’m without you

I’m calling out your name
From a million miles away
From on top of Primrose Hill
To the streets of Alphaville
I’m trying to find your spot
On this Pale Blue Dot

Now I’m hitting the bricks
With this hole I can’t fix
All because you’re not here
And I don’t know where to find you
As another sun sets
I walk among silhouettes
Till they disappear
And there’s nobody here

I’m calling out your name
From a million miles away
From the Mersey’s rippling choir
To the Cuyahoga’s fire
I’m trying to find your spot
On this Pale Blue Dot

We can’t sit still
We’re moving in these trains, and planes, and cars
But somewhere we’re both spinning on this Pale Blue Dot
Staring up at the same stars

Now I’m boarding this plane
With my usual refrain:
When will I see you again?

I’m calling out your name
From a million miles away
From Dublin’s grays and greens
To the alley-ways of Queens
I’m still looking for your spot
On this Pale Blue Dot
