It's Been A Long Time Since I've Seen Your Flowers

I’ve got a picture of your garden
Slowly fading from my memory
I try hard to remember
But with each passing day a little bit escapes me
Among blooms of every color
We’d keep company with each other
And while away the hours
It’s been a long, long, long time since I’ve seen your flowers

In the spring we were so happy
It’s funny how such beauty can make you so carefree
It was underneath your willow, with your lap as my pillow
That you first kissed me
And I brushed my fingertips
On your roses and tulips
Wet with April showers
It’s been a long, long, long time since I’ve seen your flowers

But summer got too hot
And scorched our Camelot
The sweets and the sours
And autumn brought us down
When the green turned to brown
And wasted what was ours
Joy impregnates
Sorrow brings forth
But bitterness devours
It’s been a long, long, long time since I’ve seen your flowers

A cruel winter came
And I know that I’m to blame for all this pain
Your garden’s covered with ice
But I know that in time it will melt away with rain
I’ve been trying to hang on
Ever since you’ve been gone
But I’m losing all my powers
It’s been a long, long, long time since I’ve seen your flowers

It’s been a long, long, long time

Since I’ve seen your flowers
